mental health in academia:

Mental health in academia has reached a crisis point in recent years — a trend that extends beyond academia as well. A key contributing factor is the lack of open discussion, often due to stigma, fear, and a general lack of awareness about mental health within academic environments. To help address this, I have organized talks by a mental health professional specifically tailored for academic audiences, with the goal of raising awareness and encouraging conversation.
A crisis in academia: Let's talk about student mental health.
Talk by Dr. Jonathan Chou at the MIT Kavli Institute, May 2025.
A crisis in academia: Let's talk about mental health. Talk by Dr. Jonathan Chou at the TESS Science Conference III, July 2024.
